Develop a short written profile of aging within a country. Select a country other than the U.S. and your country of citizenship. The profile should include information about the country’s demographic characteristics, key aging-related policies, health and social services, and critical issues and opportunities associated with the country’s aging population. Unless the question is specifically asking for your personal opinion – use of 1st or 2nd tense in writing is not to be used (see guidelines)

Important to cite where your information is coming from. This is easy, tell me what article(s) you are using. Some of you have found outside source materials to include (this is excellent). If you want to include a reference page – please do so. A reference page would not count towards the one page limit. (APA citations)

Review guidelines for assignments and follow formal writing rules

(The guidelines) 

Writing is a flexible means of demonstrating learning as well as a method of exploring one’s thinking to stimulate learning. Thus students are learning to write and writing to learn. Writing makes thinking visible. The goal of the 1-page writing assignments are to engage students with course content, to facilitate understanding of age-related concepts, and to help students practice communication skills, including summarizing, comparing, describing, analyzing or interpreting information.

These writing activities are based on the course content. You will follow the directions (located on D2L under “Course Content”) and complete each assignment by writing a 1-page response. Write succinctly! I do not expect you to write more than 1 page for each assignment. Tables, bullets, etc can also be used to present information when appropriate.

Responses should be typed, double spaced, 12-point Arial/Times New Roman font and 1 inch margins. You will submit your work on D2L in the provided Drop Box by the due date indicated on the Course Schedule.
