As a reminder, your first Reflective Journal assignment is due at the end of Week 4. This assignment includes at least one journal entry, at least one page in length, for weeks 2, 3, and 4 (a total of three entries of three pages). Each of the three entries should be one page in length for a total of three pages. To prepare for each week’s journal entries, reflect on your own biases and discomforts as they occur during and outside of the course. Pay close attention to when a particular topic or topics causes a visceral response or feelings of discomfort/disequilibrium. This might happen while you are reading, viewing, or listening to a learning resource, interacting with others in the course on the Discussion board, completing an assignment, and/or not doing course work at all. You are strongly encouraged to take note of these moments and consider them as potential journal topics to reflect on and then write about in your journal.
Create a Word document that you will keep as your Reflective Journal. Title your assignment for this week: Weeks 2–4: Reflective Journal and so on throughout the course.
WEEK 2: TOPIC: DEFINING FAMILY
WEEK 3: TOPIC: FAMILY INFLUENCE INTO CHILDREN’S LIVES
WEEK 4: INSTITUTIONAL BIAS INFLUENCES INTO CHILDREN’S LIVES
