Critical thinking, reasoning and content specific competencies are essential skillsets for business leaders in the ethical application of business principles in the 21^st century globalized economy and as such, are program objectives for graduate business education.  

Graduate Business Learners should gain a broad view of organizational performance factors from the general management perspective. Activities are designed to develop the skills needed for effective leadership and management in the 21^stcentury globalized business economy. These skills promote and integrate program outcomes and include decision-making, strategic management, creativity and innovation, leadership, problem-solving, and real-time business application. Activities will also develop research and writing skills that accompany high level responsibility in the academic and business environments. These skill sets will empower business managers, executives, and leaders to perform in a dynamic environment where market expansion is global. Excellence in these areas are essential to organizational viability and will allow Learners to add value to their respective firms and to grow both personally and professionally. 

It is imperative to constantly create and innovate in order to establish a competitive advantage and have sustainability in the 21st-century globalized business economy. Creativity and innovation may be defined as being original and having a new methodology respectively.

The first part of your assignment is to choose a business process that meets some organizational goal or function, or solves a business problem, and present a summary. Your summary should demonstrate your understanding of the major concepts as they relate to the learning objectives and course material.

Subsequent to your summary and working with your chosen topic, present some new process or procedure that still meets the same organizational goals or functions, but in a more efficient and effective way. This is an opportunity to exercise your ability to be creative and innovative in such areas as procedures, process, and problem-solving. Your creativity and innovation must be relevant to the topic, organizational function or goal, and have validity and can be supported by research or industry. You may utilize existing methodologies and processes, but in new and creative ways, or you may choose to employ something totally new and original. You should compare and contrast the existing method with the new design to show the advantages and efficiency gains.
