Why Is Donald Trump Still In Office

Recently President Trump’s approval ratings have hit a record low of 37%, but the question going through most American’s minds is, Why is he still in office? Day in and day out he is insulting one person or another and he has proved himself on many occasions to be unfit to be president. So why haven’t there been more accounts of impeachment?
The answer is very straight forward. The impeachment process is a long one and as a result attempts to get president Trump impeached have been diverted. For Trump to be impeached there would have to be a majority vote in the Senate and House and even still President Trump wouldn’t have to leave office if he didn’t wish to. The process is a frustrating one and theoretically would work better if the party ratios were more equal. Currently though the Republicans hold a majority in the House,Senate, and Supreme Court, which are all significant to the impeachment process.
Even still the FBI has started looking into “individuals associated with the Trump campaign and the Russian government” according to CNN. For some information like this brings hope for concrete evidence that s to be found. With it the House would be able to formulate enough evidence to hold a trail, and although it’s not very likely it’s the only hope for some people. After Trump’s statement in typical Trump fashion, “I guess I can’t be doing so badly, because I’m President, and you’re not.” (CNN) many people have lost any for having a even semi-respectable president.

Either way it’s going to be a long four years being that President Donald Trump and his administration aren’t going anywhere anytime soon. In the meantime US citizens should prepare for the worst as President Trump continues on with his horrifying 100 days of office.Quoting comments for the CNN post on Trump’s Presidency “Don the Con is the Greatest Con Man of all time.
