Memorization presentations in my opinion is the most difficult to do as you have to do as such, memorize the presentation. A president that is good with public speaking may use this method at certain events that may not have access to a monitor or a stand for notes to read off of. A good example would be if the president gave the same speech to multiple schools over and over.
Manuscript presentations is when you have the ability to bring along your prewritten presentation to read off of while trying to make eye contact with the audience, but still referring to the manuscript to stay as accurate as possible to keep the facts straight. An example of this could be when giving a statement in court referring to your statement.
Impromptu presentations are when someone is called upon to do a spur of the moment presentation without being prepared. A couple examples that shows this would be at church when everyone is gathered equally for a service and then a pastor calls upon one of their leaders to stand and lead a group in prayer. Another example would be at a funeral and a family member was not prepared to give a speech and is asked to say something in memory.
Extemporaneous presentations are when you are thoroughly prepared and very familiar with the facts and topics and may have recited the speech a few times. An example of this would be a specialist that is called upon as a witness in a trial that knows the events, knows their job involved, and uses their own personal feelings and memories to flow through the moments of the speech. Another example could be is when someone gives a S.T.A.R. (situation, task, action, result) example to a interview question.
The most recent event I have experienced with public speaking was at church and our pastor used Extemporaneous. He researches his topics, uses his personal life events, and recites his message over and over so that he may be able to present the same message/speech to multiple services over the weekend.

Memorization is when you write out a speech and then remember it verbatim. This isn’t a good way to deliver a speech it is very monotonous and there is little to no emotion. The only time I think it would be acceptable is if you had to give it all the time like a tour guide. 
Manuscript is when you write out your speech and you read it from the paper or something similar. This is also not a good way to give a speech it isn’t very audience friendly. I believe this works best in very emotional situations like a funeral or a speech about the death of a loved one. 
Impromptu is speaking without preparation. This could happen if you procrastinate or if you are put on the spot to elaborate on a specific topic. This normally happens when you are the one with the knowledge that a group might need, such as reviewing a course to the rest of your department at work. 
Finally extemporaneous which is the best way to give speech according to the text. This is when you study a topic and practice your speech. During which you only occasionally glance at speaker notes. This is done at most conferences. 
The last time I was an audience member during a speech was probably during my job orientation. We heard from several members of our executive branch. Each seemed to be doing some variation of an extemporaneous speech. They seemed knowledgeable on their specific topic but no one read from a script or seemed at a loss for words. Specifically the President spoke with such vigor and love that I felt truly inspired to be apart of such a team. So I believe that his speech was effective and memorable.
