Suggested Interview Questions and Guidance on Your Research Paper
For the research project, select an organization that is working on issues of importance to the Asian Pacific American community.  REMEMBER:  FOR FULL CREDIT YOU CANNOT JUST OBTAIN INFORMATION FROM THE ORGANIZATION’S WEBSITE. YOU WILL HAVE TO FIND OTHER SOURCES OF INFORMATION (FOR EXAMPLE INTERVIEW A STAFF PERSON, BOARD MEMBER OR CLIENT; LOCATE NEWS ARTICLES ABOUT THE ORGANIZATION; READ OTHER BROCHURES OR PRINTED MATERIALS THE ORGANIZATION HASPRODUCED).  
a)  Describe the organization (e.g. is it volunteer?  Does it have staff?  What is it’s budget?  Where does the funding come from?)
b)  Describe the organization’s mission and history.  What is the social problem that they seek to address?
c)  How is it working to benefit or improve the lives of Asian Pacific Americans?  What are it’s main strategies and programs?
d)  What are its primary accomplishments?  How do they measure their progress and success?
e)  What challenges and opposition does the organization face?
f)   Are there areas in which they can improve?
