Respond to the following by posting 1-2 paragraphs for each item:
1.  Locate the company’s mission statement (found on its web site or annual report). Summarize the mission statement first, then analyze the mission statement for its ability to inspire employees and contribute towards organizational success.
2.  Based on your findings related to the mission statement, provide one suggestion for a creative way for the Human Resources department to communicate the mission statement in a more visible manner.
3.  In order to develop strategies which support the mission statement, management will need to assess its distinctive competencies. The analysis of internal and external factors will provide a realistic status of these competencies. This is accomplished through a SWOT analysis. Complete a SWOT analysis for the company (see the SWOT Learning Object originally introduced under the Learning Activitiessection for this module for examples). Note that strengths and weaknesses come from the internal environment of the company, while opportunities and threats come from the external environment.Include two of each (strengths, weaknesses, opportunities, and threats). Provide a brief explanation of each and how they apply to your focus company. Do not just provide a “bulleted listing”, but include a brief explanation of each item you include on your SWOT analysis for your approved focus company.
