Instructions When conducting a literature search for your mock research proposal, a problem you will face will be critically analyzing the sources you find not only for their usefulness but also their credibility. 
The annotated bibliography allows you to present your critical analysis of references that can be utilized within your proposal.   The purpose of an annotated bibliography is to identify specific references for your mock proposal and provide a critical review of each reference as to its credibility, strengths and weaknesses, and how the source will contribute to your paper. Remember references, i.e. individual articles, are required. Do not provide resources like search engines that send you to other pages for information. 
Each Annotation must have the following format: 

A complete APA reference

 One paragraph very briefly summarizing the content of the reference. Remember to summarize the information and not tell about what the article says.  One paragraph identifying why you believe the reference is credible. Remember there is a tutorial on the Unit 1 reading page with criteria for assessing credibility  One paragraph discussing how the information in the reference will contribute to the content of the mock research proposal HINT: See Doc Sharing for an example annotated bibliography assignment. 
Your paper should include: 

Title page in APA format 

A minimum of two references for the research problem section providing the following information:

o A definition/explanation of the health issue or trend o Prevalence data if appropriate

o Consequences if the issue/trend is not addressed 

A minimum of three references for the Current Background section providing insight into potential causes, preventative measures, or interventions to help solve the research problem 
Requirements  

Your work should display superior content, organization, style, and mechanics. 

Your writing should be well ordered, logical, and unified, as well as original and insightful. 

Writing should be in a formal, not a conversational style. 

Paper is to be written in paragraph format.

Paper should follow the conventions of Standard American English (correct grammar, sentence structure, punctuation, etc.). 

APA format is to be followed, i.e., writing should be automatically double spaced (do not use manual double spacing) in 12 point, Times New Roman font 

Information should be summarized in your own words with appropriate APA formatted citations in the body of the text to acknowledge the source of information. 

 References should be complete.
