Submit Paper Assignment – Due November 30

[First, choose a policy area or issue of your choice, and briefly discuss the problem concerning your policy area or issue.  Secondly, all questions below that relate to your issue MUST be answered in paper for this assignment that are listed under the main four sections regarding (1) laws, Acts and policy area, (2) interest groups, (3) public opinion, and (4) solutions and policy recommendation or “how do you feel.  Copy and paste those four sections as main headers in the paper. Copy and paste each sub-question below the main headers that you will be using to answer those four sections within the paper content]

Choose a policy area or issue of your choice. [There are some general examples of issue areas posted below such as immigration, healthcare, foreign affairs, terrorism, abortion, environmental/climate change, terrorism, marijuana legalization homeland security, international trade, international security.]
Discuss the problem concerning the policy area or issue.

   -State and discuss the problem(s) concerning the policy area or issue
       -Does the problem(s) concerning the policy area or issue harm or benefits any group(s)?    Explain.

Research, analyze and discuss law(s) or Act(s) that are in place regarding the policy area or issue.

       -Do the law(s) or Act(s) concerning the policy area or issue differ or are they the same at the three levels of government, local, state or federal level.    Explain how they differ, or how they are the same or similar.
If a difference in the law(s) or Act(s) is found concerning the policy area or issue in the three levels of government, explain how does this effect a/any group(s)?    
    -Do the law(s) or Act(s) concerning the policy area or issue differ or are they the same at the executive, legislative and judicial branches.    Explain how they differ, or how they are the same or similar.
 If a difference in the law(s) or Act(s) is found concerning the policy area or issue in the three branches of government, explain how does this effect a/any group(s)?       

Research, identity and discuss the interest groups that are for and against the policy area or issue.

Research, analyze and discuss a public opinion survey results on the policy area or issue. (See list of public opinion survey polls URLs below).
Discuss how you feel the policy area or issue of your choice should be resolved.

    -Discuss your solutions and policy recommendation for the policy area or issue.
Note: when using content from other sources, any authors, publications, paraphrase or direct quotes, or sources from online sources in the short paper assignment, each of those sources must be cited using matching/corresponding in-text citation and a reference and one of the research writing styles, such as APA, MLA, Turabian. The paper MUST have sources from at least two books and two academic journals and/or news journals. The word count for the assignment is 2700-2900 words (not including title page and the bibliography or reference page), doubled spaced, size 12 fonts in Times New Roman or Arial.
