After analyzing and evaluating historical leadership theory and its practical application, the next step in our exploration of leadership is your individual translation of historical views using critical synthesis. 
Choose an historic leader/leadership style that had a positive influence in history and whose concepts can be migrated forward so that they have a degree of applicability in your professional endeavors. Synthesize the leadership ideas to suggest opportunities for their use in your career and scholarly research. 
Write a 1,050- to 1400-word paper that includes the following:

Explain what characteristics make him/her a good leader and how s/he fits within the historical context of the period.
Describe the leadership actions he or she took.
Explain the leadership style(s) employed by the leader to inspire and mobilize others.
Synthesize what you have learned about this leader’s practice of leadership to describe two of his/her leadership behaviors that you would like to develop and justify your reasoning. (In other words, apply scholarship to practice.)

References should be peer-reviewed articles, journals, and scholarly literature located in the University Library. You may not use the Wren text to support your assertions for this assignment. You use the Wren text only to choose from one of the historical leaders described there.
