Lead simply describes as the amount of time whereby a successor activity has the capacity to be advanced with respect to activity’s predecessor. Lead is usually helpful in a project which is supposed to be completed within a short period of time because the successor activity is overlapped with its predecessor before it reaches a point of waiting for preceding one to be completed. During renovation of a parking garage there are several leads which the project manager is likely to encounter when scheduling the activities. This paper will briefly explain some of the lead activities which are likely to be encountered by the manager.
While renovating the walls of the same garage whereby the walls are labelled as wall x and wall y. The engineer is interested in delaying the renovation of wall x for approximately six days since the material utilized for the renovation of both the walls  is new and the engineer wishes to test wall y first. The time gap between renovations of the two walls of the gaps start dates of the renovation is six days is referred to as lag. Additionally if two different materials are to be utilized in renovation of both walls of the garage, then the project might take a longer period of time. If the material used for renovation of wall x is not available for additional seven days, then wall y which qualifies to be the successor activity for which the material is available will have to be renovated first(Kerzner,2017).
As a result of this, wall y is which is renovated prior to wall x with a lead time of seven days. In the given scenario the best lead activity example is to deal with one wall of the garage and complete it first. In conclusion in project management lead entails the acceleration of the successor activities with the objective of using only on finish-to-start activities relationships.

Lead time is the speedup of the successor activity. In different words, the next activity can start (and also can be handled parallelly) when the first activity started. Lead is something which is simply observed activities by finish-to-start connections: A must end before B can begin (Stevenson, 2007).
In order to leverage a lead, which will reduce the entire mixed continuation of both exercises, the dependency need to be optional, meaning that there exists no real restriction on completing A before B starts. Lag remains the delay regarding a successor activity and also describes time that need to reach prior to the next activity can start. There exist no resources linked by a lag.
Lag may be seen in projects by all connection types: finish-to-start, start-to-start, finish-to-finish, and start-to-finish. Lag may be seen in projects by all connection types: finish-to-start, start-to-start, finish-to-finish, and start-to-finish. Lag may be seen in projects by all connection types: finish-to-start, start-to-start, finish-to-finish, and start-to-finish (Kloppenborg, 2019).
Lead Time remains an essential constituent for client satisfaction. Typically, consumers need goods or service as quick as potential with least effort. For construction and assembly, the idea of Lead Time remains linked to and also holds a close connection by the amount of record that survives at various periods in the overall construction. If Client Lead Time remains less than the Material Lead Times, Production Lead Times, or rather a Cumulative Lead Times it will end up in the holding of stock in the supply chain at some or each and every point.
In this scenario of renovating a parking garage, one lead example I can think of is all the material needed for the renovation of parking can be ordered on the first day of the project start itself instead of waiting for the completion of the renovation design, this will ultimately decrease the time of the project.
