Select one noted psychologist from any of the included lists in The 100 Most Eminent Psychologists of the 20th Century article ( https://journals-sagepub-com.proxy-library.ashford.edu/doi/pdf/10.1037/1089-2680.6.2.139? ) and locate a scholarly article written by him or her in the Ashford University Library. Upon entering the library, click on the Advanced Search option in the Search box.  Enter the name of your selected psychologist in the search field. Then, select AU Author (or TI Title) in the drop down menu to the right of the search box. In the second search box, enter the word psychology.  Below the search boxes, look for the Limit your results section and select Limit to Full Text and Limit to Scholarly/Peer Reviewed.  Then, click Search. Note that the library will not have every source, so if you choose a book or an article that is unavailable, try another option.  

After you have selected your psychologist and found an article, include the following in your discussion:

• Summarize the contributions of the influential figure you selected to the field of psychology.
• Relate pertinent information regarding your selected psychologist and his or her main theoretical contributions to the field.
• Interpret any empirical work (i.e., research study) that is presented in the article. (Tell us what they found.)
• Explain how this theory/research provides insight into differences in psychological functioning, considering cultural and social diversity influences. (Why do we do what we do?)
• Appraise course concepts explicitly, applying them to your personal experiences/observations, and cite the required readings as appropriate.
• Be thorough and specific, structuring your work intentionally (with an introductory and concluding sentence or two), providing clear context, and concisely and precisely explaining relevant course concepts.
• Use personal examples to illustrate as appropriate, but do be sure to provide an objective analysis too, referencing required materials and using additional credible sources as needed to support your insight. 
• Apply in-text citations appropriately throughout your post. 
• Your original post should be a minimum of 300 words.
