1. Infant curriculum is influenced by a variety of factors, including society, families, culture, setting, program and teacher philosophy, and, of course, the individuality of children. Choose three of these factors and use examples to explain how each could impact developmentally appropriate curriculum.
2. Routines represent an important component of infant curriculum and play a key role in optimizing development and learning. Review pages 220-229 of your course text and provide at least two examples to explain how appropriate practices during routines can support healthy infant development and learning.
3. Planning curriculum for infants is an important component of developmentally appropriate practice. Review pages 229-237 of your course text, then summarize appropriate curriculum planning strategies and explain the drawbacks of not using such strategies.
