Given: Rectangular Beam Width = 4.80 cm; Height = 0.520 cm. Mass or Load = 9.50 kg, Modulus of Elasticity 
E = 21.0E06 N / cm2 Initial Length = Lo = 10.00 cm. 
Find: Deflection of the Cantilevered Beam as a function of Length and Plot Deflection vs. Length. 
( 16 pts) Define the eight variables Mass, gravity, Beam Width, Beam Height, Modulus of Elasticity, Initial 
Length, Area Moment of Inertia, step size for Length. 
(10 pts) Calculate the Moment of Inertia I (cm4) 
(10 pts) Tabulation of Length in cm until 60.0 cm, 
(30 pts) Calculation of and Tabulations of Deflections ( ?y) using appropriate equation(s), 
(30 pts) Plot of Deflection vs. Length (cm), Titled, with labeling the X-axis and the Y-axis. 
( 2 pts) Name inside on the Spreadsheet. 
( 2 pts) Include “Excel 01 Assignment” in the title of the e-mail. 

Submit results to me as a spreadsheet file. Send an e-mail with the Excel file attached. All files are due by Monday 11:00pm, October 21, 2013. But do not send the e-mail before Monday at 6:00pm; this will keep all the e-mails together in my file. They will arrive in one nice batch.
