How did either the long-term or short-term causes of the Revolution reflect or reject the ultimate motivations of the AR as economic or ideological, as well as the inevitability (or lack thereof) of the AR? 
2. The U.S. Constitution & Slavery- Identify & explain the three clauses of the U.S. Constitution that address slavery. What were some of the major laws in the U.S. dealing with slavery? Why were the founders so reluctant to address slavery at the Continental Congress or Constitutional Convention? What was the long-term impact of the decision to protect slavery? 
3. The Radicalism of the American Revolution (AR)-Was the AR really radical and really a revolution for everyone, including women, Native Americans & slaves? Why or why not? What precise effects and exact roles did these groups have upon & play in the revolution? Give at least one specific example for each group.

6. Civil War—Detail the who, what, when & where associated with either the long-term or short- term causes of the Civil War. Then, explain in detail how & why each of these causes/events helped ignite the Civil War. 
7. Jefferson vs. Adams–Compare & contrast the major differences between Jefferson (Dem. Republican) & John Adams’ (Federalist) political parties & philosophies on governing. How and why did they become such fierce political rivals later in their political careers? Was either Jefferson or Adams more successful as President?
