Essay on recent media event

Choose a recent event that occurred after May 2019 that was covered by the media.

Write a 1,200 word maximum essay not including bibliography that explains, from a critical and global perspective, how the trajectory of this event was shaped by various information systems.
Your goal is to evaluate the authenticity and credibility of information reported about this world event, The essay should demonstrate your understanding of the diverse and complex nature of information, bringing order to, and maximizing the value of, the information for the
audience it reaches.
The essay should:
(1) State a thesis argument, 
(2) Analyze, how the event was covered or how information about the event was manipulated or suppressed. 
(3) Address what all that means on a global level.

What methods of rhetoric are being used in the articles/media?
Are the concepts of privacy and access to information at play in the event?

What media theories apply to this event?
How is the information in the article harvested and conveyed?
What media channels are used and how does this use link back to the author and the intended audience?
Are there sources that provide an alternative view to the event being covered?
Are these sources credible?
Do they provide a reliable alternative to the story?
Did did a person, movement or technology influence this event. 
If so, how?
What is the impact of this event (and its reporting in the media) on a global level?
 
Use images, videos, and web links as evidence to illustrate your thesis. You should also include this in your annotated bibliography. Use APA for your citation format.
