IT Governance

The key theme of this chapter on IT governance is that there are different aspects of IT that need to be managed as well as different stakeholders in the organization that can or should manage them. Your challenge for this discussion board is to come up with an example of a company and discuss how you think they might improve their performance by shifting who has responsibility for what related to their IT. Use the Nestle story in the chapter as an example and do your own research to come up with your own example. You may not be able to determine with certainty where the decisions rights lie but you can infer from your reading of the company. For example, you may read a news release that describes a new IT-based innovation or implementation (a new app, a new system, etc.) and then think about who in the organization may have been responsible for making that decision and who may be responsible for managing it.
