Leadership is something that should come out of an individual naturally and teaching people leadership can be very difficult. Leadership can come in different forms and this is why each leadership is unique and there has never been a consensus of the true leadership style. Leadership is any process that can influence team members to work towards a certain goal and be committed to the success of the team. Person oriented leaders tend to encourage interpersonal relations, while task leaders tend to incline towards achievement of certain jobs and encourages things like trainings, instruction behavior, performance and winning.
The leaders themselves should possess the qualities that they want to impact into the team. For instance if the director of athletics wants the team players to be disciplined, confident, and enthusiastic he/she should exercise these traits. 5. 0
