Design a lesson on listening that applies oral, written, and visual communication (NCTE – 3.1,3.2,3.3,3.4,3.6, and 3.7) as well as elements that allow students/colleagues to become familiar with their own and others’ cultures (NCTE – 2.2,2.4, and 2.5).  NOTE:  YOU SHOULD ONLY FOCUS ON ONE ASPECT OF LISTENING AND SELECT THE APPROPRIATE STANDARDS AND LEARNING OUTCOMES FOR THE LESSON YOU ARE TEACHING.   THEREFORE, YOU WILL NEED TO BE SELECTIVE ABOUT THE ASPECT THAT WILL BE YOUR FOCUS.
 

Also include the different type of texts (both print and nonprint) that students/colleagues read or view for the lesson.  Be specific about how these forms of communication are used; the Who, What, Where, When, and Why format may be used.  Be sure to follow the Webster University Lesson Plan Format (see below.).
