Exampl1. Chronicles by Bob Dylan is probably the top book that I’ve read because Bob Dylan is one of my favorite human beings on the planet. It honestly amazes me on how a boy from Minnesota grew up to to be this influential tidal wave of musical genius. 
2. Is Everyone Hanging Out Without Me (And Other Concerns) by Mindy Kaling because I think she’s hilarious. She writes about her experience being a woman of color trying to make it in comedy and I find myself laughing out loud whenever I read it. 
3. The Perks of Being a Wallflower by Stephen Chbosky. It’s a coming of age novel that addresses issues that many young people face that I think are important to talk about. The writing style is different than any other novel I’ve read which lures the reader in. 
4. Me Talk Pretty One Day by David Sedaris because it’s short essays on his life, and those who are apart of it, and they’re all funny. While reading his stories, I can’t help but think of someone in my own life who it reminds me of. 
5. Where the Sidewalk Ends by Shel Silverstein would be my fifth book because it was one of the first books that I’ve read. It inspired me to be a teacher and although it’s just simple poems, they always brighten my day.
