Monroe`s Motivated Sequence ( Write a short persuasive speech)

 
In this activity, you will identify how the Monroe’s Motivated Sequence was used to create a short campaign announcement. Then you will write a short persuasive speech (just text) using the Monroe’s method.

The attention step

get the audience’s attention
describe your goals and preview the speech

The need step

describe the problem as well as the consequences.
alert audience members to their role in mitigating the issue.

The satisfaction step

outline your solutions to the problems  (deal with objections )

In the visualization step,

Ask audience members to visualize what will happen if solutions are implemented and if they don’t.

The action appeal step

make a direct appeal for action.
describe how the audience should react and how they should carry out these actions.   

 
Identify the different sections of the Monroe’s method in Clinton’s announcement campaign. 
Read Clinton’s announcement campaign script:
