Session 2 Assignment: Your Position Statement

For this week’s assignment, you will be writing a position statement. A position statement lets people know where you stand on a topic or debate. It can be used in a variety of areas like policy, literature, ethics and legislation. Write a position statement of approximately 500 words on the importance of administrative support for literacy coaching. While you’re encouraged to draw on your own experiences and other resources, be sure to cite at least three references to the resources provided in this session in your response.

Follow the steps below to complete this assignment:

1. Create a new document of your choosing (Word, Google Docs, Open Office – anything that can be saved/exported to PDF format).
2. Write your position statement. Make sure that it is approximately 500 words. Make sure to reference the grading rubric in either the syllabus or below this assignment description to understand word requirement expectations.
3. Save your position statement as a PDF file with the naming convention PositionStatement_FirstNameLastName. If your name is Walter Payton, your document name would be PositionStatement_WalterPayton.
4. Upload and submit your saved document to the upload interface below.
