Website Review (750 – 1000 words). A
website review is a text that describes and
evaluates the strengths and weaknesses of a
website and makes recommendations for
improvement, if any improvements are needed.
These reviews usually feature several criteria, such
as appearance, interface (how well the website
interacts with users), and functionality (how well
the website performs the task it’s meant to
perform). Write a review of a website of your
choice. Assume that your audience is the editor or
web developer/webmaster for the site and your
goal is to provide feedback that would improve the
site.
Document that describes and evaluates the

in order to improve their websites.

1. Your first paragraph should tell your reader about the site. What is it for? Who uses
it? What background information do we need to know? What is your overall assessment
of the site—what is your rating/evaluation/critique of the site in general?

2. Appearance—in your second paragraph, describe and assess the appearance of the
site in terms of the best practices of web design

3. User Interface—in your third paragraph, describe and assess how easy the site is to
use and navigate

4. Functionality—in your fourth paragraph, describe how well the site performs its
intended task.

5. Suggestions for Improvement—in your fifth paragraph, give the site owner/web
developer very specific suggestions for improving an issues you highlighted in the
previous paragraphs

6. Final thoughts and rating—in your conclusion, repeat and sum up your overall
assessment of the site and give it a rating out of 100 points.
