Choose a topic that is highly debated in the education world such as the use of standardized tests, single-gender classrooms, technology in education, pay for performance of teachers, etc. 
Find one article that supports a position and one article that is against that position. Post the links to each of those articles in the discussion board.
Which article do you think is more credible and why? Support your answer with the information you learned from the readings this week and the material in your articles.
Respond to one of your classmates. Do you agree with their position? Give at least 2 reasons why or why not.

Please post your proposed topic and research question so that I may review it and approve it. Then, once I approve the topic you can look for 7 to 10 peer-reviewed articles at Strayer Online University Library at research.strayer.edu  
By the way, the course is built in a way that you will use the (1) first written paper as a foundation to build upon or to “add” to (2) second assignment, then you will use assignments 1 & 2 to build upon (3) assignment and finally, all three papers will be used to complete assignment (4). The step-by-step instructions for each respective paper are found in Blackboard to guide in your efforts to prepare and organize the correct format.
 Again, visit Strayer Online Library at research.strayer.edu  and scroll down to “Education Sources” and click to open. Then, type keywords in the search bar on a topic of your interest such as “First Generation Women of Color college students” or “Cultural Capital and Student Engagement” or “College students and depression” etc., etc., to find peer-reviewed articles. The sky is the limit on education research topics.
