Throughout this course you have learned about concepts that contribute to the creation of culturally responsive environments that support the learning and development of children and their families. For this discussion, you will reflect on the main components of cultural competence: culturally relevant methods, anti-bias curriculum, diverse family structures, and multicultural education.
Before you begin your discussion, review the Diversity, Equity, and Cultural Competence (Links to an external site.) resource, which provides links to information and resources that break down and operationalize the concept of cultural competence in ways that may support your thinking on cultural competence and its various components.
