Write a paragraph of at least seven sentences, describing the painting in spatial order. Further instructions are below.

 
Reminder:  For description writing, you must use adjectives (when describing a visual image, adjectives of sizes, colors, and shapes).  The organizational pattern is spatial order.  In other words, you must organize and describe the information you are seeing by space, going from the left of the picture to the center to the right to the right of the picture, or from the right of the picture to the center to the left.  You may also describe from top to bottom, bottom to top, near to far, or far to near!  Often it does not matter what direction you go in, but it is crucial to use some sort of spatial order so that the reader may visualize the picture in his or her mind.

Directions:    In one paragraph of at least seven sentences, describe this picture using spatial order.  Make sure your paragraph has a topic sentence as well as a concluding sentence.  Important:  name the painting and painter in your topic sentence!
