This is an age calculator which insurance companies use to determine a person’s predicted longevity based on a host of variables known to correlate with health and illness. It turns out, very few people are aware of the calculator or have thought about how long they want to live notice it’s want to and not will; if one wants to live well and long, one must take responsibility for taking research supported steps to promote individual health. Even with a family history of problems, lifestyle changes can make a big difference. Regarding the number of factors on the test, experts have researched common life lengthening behaviors take an aspirin a day, for example, and add two years onto your life and common life shortening behaviors such as smoking and determined that the items on the calculator survey are primary factors predicting longevity. By themselves they may not seem like much, but together they add up. Keep an eye on the Age Tabulator in the upper right hand corner of the screen; it will change in relation to the items you endorse during the survey.Note, this calculator uses research based longevity factors and is intended to stimulate thinking and class dialogue. It should not be viewed as diagnostic.
