1. Choosing two countries outside the United States, trace the history of a folk dance from each of these two countries.  Please describe the dances and the dancers
2. Explain the differences/similarities between these two folk dances.  Explain if there were any controversies with these folk dances or governmental issues with these dances.
3. Give an explanation how these dances have influenced the dance world in the United States and/or how have these two dances influenced the definition of dance in America?
4. What cultural/personal experiences or observations have helped influence your definition of dance?
