As you watch this episode, keep in mind that according to sexual  selection theory males are somehow competing for mates or the  opportunity to mate, or somehow advertising themselves as being of high  quality as a mate.  Females are believed to be choosing males based upon  some characteristic of the male or what the male may have to offer as a  mate.  Make note of the examples shown in which animals are exhibiting  these types of behaviors.

As you watch this episode, keep in mind that in order for us to  conclude animals are engaged in aggressive of agonistic behavior it  helps to identify a resource that is in dispute.  Make note of the  examples shown in which animals are in conflict with each other, what  resource they seem to be fighting over, and how they are actually  interacting.  Also, notice the many subtle ways animals may resolve  their conflicts without actually engaging in physical combat.
