Go to the PBS Art 21 website (Links to an external site.) and select one artist for study. These Art21 artist videos will give you some insight into that artist’s creative and technical processes, influences, and intellectual motivations for creating artwork. The videos are roughly one hour long but are in fact broken up into 15-minute sections – one section per artist. While it is important to note the nature of the work and the process involved, you are trying to arrive at a fuller understanding of the artistic problems that interest the artist and how those problems find visual expression. What sorts of artistic decisions must be made? The video is your starting point for research; you should consult at least two additional sources for information: consult reviews and interviews especially
