Need an assignment done by Nov. 5

 Students please review the clip of a hit tv show called “Downtown Abbey.” Downtown Abbey is set from 1912 to 1926 in the Yorkshire country estate. Below are directions of what you should provide in your analysis:

1. Please take a look at the two clips and analyze the style of clothing, accessories, footwear, hair and headdress (examples: waistlines/silhouettes, ornamentation, fabrics and materials). Explain how distinct they are. 

2.Can you tell a difference in hierarchy (affluent vs middle class society)? What period does this represent?

3. Can you tell a distinct difference in the mannerisms and emotions of each class of society, if so, how?

4.What are some other things you noticed about the scenes that are a great influence of the characters’ personalities and way of dress? (example: Edith and Dowager’s dress are completely different in each clip- why may that be?)

Please provide at least 1-2 pages total (preferably 1 page per clip). doubled spaced. Please label each clips’ explanation. 

This will be graded on the close attention to details of the characters and the explanation of the influence of the era.
