Arts Integration in the Classroom

Write a paper on how you would integrate the fine arts in all the standard core subjects taught in elementary school K-6. These subjects will include: reading, language arts, math, science, and social studies. Also, create a lesson plan for one day of learning. Be sure to include which skills you are addressing, how you are going to teach them and in what way you will use art to make it more meaningful. http://www.mde.k12.ms.us/ESE (Links to an external site.)  can provide you with a great deal of information about all of this. once there, simply click on the left of the menu to choose the subject area you need the standards from, ensuring that you select a standard from each core subject. You will need to become familiar with it and how to implement it. Your paper should be typed in double space, 12 pt. Times New Romas font, and you should provide a bibliography of ANY references you use. It should be no longer than 3 pages and no shorter than 2.5, EXCLUDING the lesson plans and title. Altogether, your paper MUST have a title page, your report, bibliography (Works Cited or References), and lesson plans for a total of 6 pages and no less than 5.  Lesson plans should include subject, competencies and objectives you are trying to meet, lesson, activity or methodology, and materials needed or used.
