Review Team Gallery Review Assignment

The Team Gallery Review Assignment represents 100 points of your final points. It is imperative that you complete the assignment. Here are the steps you need to follow to complete the assignment.

Purpose of the Assignment:

The purpose of this assignment is to give you the opportunity to work with  classmates as a team to practice in critically describing, interpreting and evaluating works of art from a GALLERY. (ACGI Guidelines)

This is presentation based on attending a local GALLERY (not Museum) in your community, such as the Gallery at North Lake College in Building A first floor.

Your group may elect to visit another local gallery listed under the resources on the classroom site or another gallery of your choosing.

Some students may be working from another city, so they will visit a local gallery by themselves. They can upload and share their work in the online group site.

Your essay will be measured using objective standards in the Team Review Value Rubric, which is in the syllabus and presented later in this module.

What Do You Need To Know?

Choose a group in on the Group site.

Email members of your group and arrange to meet at the North Lake College gallery or another local gallery.

If your team members cannot meet, use the online interface to share your individual Power Point presentations. Communicate using the email function for the group.

Each team member will compose a PowerPoint presentation.

All team members will share their presentations with the group.

Each individual team member will copy and paste the other team members’ presentations into one file to submit for the final grade.

If members of your team do not contact you and do not submit the assignment by the Module deadline, submit your individual presentation.

What Does Your Team Need To Do?

Meet at the NLC gallery or another local gallery -OR-

Use the online interface File Share option to share individual presentations.

Determine how the group will share the individual presentations.

Each member selects ONE work of art at the gallery.

Take a photograph of the artwork you will discuss. (Get permission from the artist, if available, or the gallery owner if not NLC)

Compose a PowerPoint presentation that contains three slides (see rubric descriptions)

Each team member will collect the other team members’ presentations.

Each team member will compose one FINAL PowerPoint presentation that includes the other member’s presentations to submit as an individual grade.

Each student submits his or her individual assignment using the “Submit” link at the end of this module.
